1 Registration
1.1 Do I have to register?

No, you do not have to register. However, by registering you do get access to your order history.

1.2 I forgot my password. What now?

Click on my account at the top of the screen. Click ‘forgot password?’. A new password will be emailed to you.

2 Ordering
2.1 How can I order?

You can order by adding the products of your choice to your basket and clicking the checkout button to proceed to the checkout.


2.2 Can I email you my order?

Yes, you can. Please send your order to: webshop@daelmansgroup.com

2.3 Can I place a repeat order?

Yes, you can! In order to place a repeat order, you'll have to log in to your account. Click on My orders. Next to the status of an order, you can click on the View button. You'll be taken to the order screen. Below the total amount of your order, you'll see a Reorder button. If you click this, all the items from your order will be placed in the shopping cart for re-ordering. 

2.4 I want to place a big order. Can I get a discount?

Yes, we offer tiered pricing for all our products. If you have a business and would like to order stroopwafels for your business, then please apply for a wholesale account.

3 Payment
3.1 Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

3.2 Do I have to pay VAT if I am a registered business?

If you have a valid VAT number, you can enter it in the VAT field upon checkout. Our system will check if it’s a valid VAT number and if the address is correct. If it passes the check, the VAT on your order will be omitted. You will not have to pay the VAT.

3.3 What will I see on my credit card statement if I pay with my credit card?

Your credit card statement will state ‘DAELMANS’.

4 Shipping
4.1 How much are the shipping costs?

Netherlands DHL
The shipping costs within the Netherlands are € 4,95 with DHL.

➝ If your order exceeds € 75,-, you qualify for FREE shipping within the Netherlands.

We also offer UPS shipping within the Netherlands:

Our shipping rates for destinations in Europe are very low: we offer sharp flat rates to most countries. Packages are delivered within 3- 6 business days with DHL or 2 or 3 business days with UPS (depending on the location). The shipping costs in Europe are (incl. VAT):

Shipping costs worldwide

Our shipping rates to the rest of the world are also extremely low, because we know that nobody likes to pay too much for international shipping. For example: a package that weighs 15 kg that is shipped to the US with the Dutch Postal Services (PostNL) costs € 105,30 and is in transit for at least 2 weeks. Here, you’ll only pay € 22,50 and the package is in transit for 2-4 business days! The shipping costs outside Europe are:

4.2 How long does it take for me to receive my stroopwafels?

We ship all of our stroopwafels as fresh as possible. All orders that are placed before noon (CET) will be shipped on the same day. Orders that are to be shipped within the Netherlands will be shipped with DHL.

We ship all of our international orders within Europe with DHL or UPS and all orders outside Europe are shipped with UPS and UPS. The average transit time is 2-4 business days, depending on your location.

4.3 Customs, duties, and tax

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of Europe may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties, and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

4.4 What about sales tax?

We are located in the Netherlands and have to add 6% VAT to food items and 21% to non-food items. All of our prices shown include VAT.

If you live in Norway, Switzerland or outside Europe, then this VAT is omitted. You pay 0% VAT in that case.

4.5 Do you ship to PO boxes?

No, we currently do not ship to PO Boxes, as UPS nor FedEx do not offer this service.

5 Wholesale account
5.1 I want to order stroopwafels for my business. Can I get a discount?

Yes, we offer wholesale accounts. Please apply for an account. We will manually check your application and approve it. If approved, you can then log in as a wholesale customer.

6 Stroopwafel information
6.1 How long is the shelf life?

The shelf life of our stroopwafels is max. 7 months.

6.2 Do your stroopwafels contain egg?

All the stroopwafels from our webshop do not contain egg. Our stroopwafels are also produced in a facility where no egg is present.

As Daelmans is still in a transition phase, Daelmans stroopwafels bought outside of the webshop (for instance in stores) might still have packaging mentioning egg. 

6.3 Do your stroopwafels contain traces of sesame?

No, our stroopwafels do not contain any trace of sesame.

6.4 Will my diet like stroopwafels?

The great thing about stroopwafels is that they are individual portions — a sweet treat, just for you! When you have an individually wrapped and portioned stroopwafel in front of you, there is less of a chance of going overboard … like cutting an EXTRA big slice of cake (we’re all guilty of that!).

Our stroopwafels only contain 150 calories: it’s the perfect small indulgence to satisfy your sweet tooth, and you don’t feel like you’re stuffed.

6.5 How are my stroopwafels best enjoyed?

We recommend bringing your stroopwafels to room temperature prior to consumption. They’re even more tastier when you slightly warm them by placing them on top of your cup of coffee or tea.

6.6 How should I store my stroopwafels?

Our stroopwafels should be stored in a cool and dry place, preferably in the refrigerator. Pop them in the microwave for a minute before enjoying them. You can also store them in the freezer to extend their shelf life for a few months.

6.7 Are your stroopwafels peanut free and are they made in a peanut free environment?

Yes, our stroopwafels are peanut and nut free and are made in a facility where no peanuts or nuts are used.

6.8 I have received my stroopwafels, but the syrup has melted and they look messy!

During the warmer months, excess syrup can unfortunately ooze out of our stroopwafels. Although it might not look as pretty, the taste is still the same.

6.9 Kosher & Halal
  • Our stroopwafels do not contain any alcohol. Bourbon Vanilla refers to the quality of the vanilla (from Madagascar), not the alcoholic drink. 
  • Our stroopwafels are halal, as they do not contain any E-numbers from animal sources. Our butter is made from cow's milk. 
  • Our stroopwafels are not labeled as kosher, but our facility is kosher-ready and kosher stroopwafels are made upon request under rabbinical supervision. If you are interested in placing a substantial order which needs to be kosher, please contact us for the possibilities. 
7 Return policy
7.1 Can I return my stroopwafels?

As stated in our Terms and Conditions (Article 8), you cannot return perishable products - such as stroopwafels - to us. This is part of the Consumer Rights Directive, issued by the European Commission. All sales are final.

You can return non-food items: in our case the Waffle Warmer and the Stroopwafel Clips.

8 Sustainability
8.1 How sustainable are you?
  • When selecting and purchasing our ingredients, sustainability of the production of those ingredients is crucial to us
  • We only use non-GMO ingredients
  • Our palm oil is sustainable 'Segregated RSPO' palm oil
  • Our packaging suppliers are FSC-sustainable (where possible)
  • No artificial aromas or colors
  • No preservatives
8.2 100% Sustainable Palm Oil

We wish to contribute to the general well-being by treating the earth and its people with respect. This is why we - as Daelmans - take part in several sustainability programs. We use 100% sustainable palm oil.
